hi, my name is maya

I am a hiking enthusiast, sometime's baker,  and a totally comfortable introvert. When I am not doing one of my many hobbies, I am a student. I'm studying Political Science at the University of Calgary and have an interest in the national defence and military security field.

I currently live in the Calgary, AB area, but I feel like I truly belong in Norway. I have a strong dislike for snow, yet I can’t imagine living somewhere without it. #NotASnowBird.

I love growing and learning, hence why I started this blog. I'm not the best writer, so hopefully you can bear with me until I become a natural. I've always desired to make positive impacts and have made that a part of my life plan, so I hope that if you gain anything from my blog, it's something positive. 

This is a blog where I plan to reflect on my experiences, share and learn from adventures, and maybe write topic essays of interest.
